Leonard Fu / Germany

Leonard Fu, known for his versatile musicianship, has excelled as a soloist, chamber musician, concertmaster, pedagogue, and composer from an early age.

He has performed across many continents, gracing prestigious venues such as the Elbphilharmonie, Béla Bartók National Concert Hall, Concertgebouw, and Jordan Hall.

A dedicated chamber musician, he regularly performs with the Tempest String Quartet. As a soloist, Fu has collaborated with renowned orchestras, including the NDR Radiophilharmonie, Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen, Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra, and
Allentown Symphony.

His musical repertoire spans historical performances, premieres of contemporary works, and cross-genre explorations. Celebrated for his achievements in international competitions, Fu has been praised for his “superior awareness of sound and structure” by German music critic Harald Eggebrecht.
 
He performs on a 1781 Lorenzo Storioni violin, generously on loan with support from the Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben.
