Bartłomiej Wezner is one of the most versatile pianists of his generation, recognized as a soloist, chamber musician, pedagogue, and cultural manager. 

He has earned numerous accolades in international chamber music competitions, including first prize at the St Martin’s Chamber Music Competition (2011, London), third prize at the 16th Premio Trio di Trieste (2015, Trieste), and top honours at the Academie de Musique de Lausanne (2015, Lausanne). He also won the Lied Duo category at the 50th International Vocal Competition 's-Hertogenbosch (2014, Netherlands) and third prize at the 17th International Kiejstut Bacewicz Chamber Music Competition in Łódź. Wezner has been awarded several best pianist prizes at vocal competitions in Warsaw (2007), Katowice (2008), Łódź (2009), Sopot (2010), and Częstochowa (2013). As a soloist, he received a Special Prize at the 6th International I.J. Paderewski Piano Competition in Bydgoszcz (2004) and a Distinction at the 15th International L. Janáček Piano Competition in Brno (2008, Czech Republic). 

Born in Nysa in 1981, Wezner graduated from the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz in 2006, where he studied piano under the guidance of Ewa Pobłocka. From 2002 to 2004, he also studied with Prof. Jerzy Sulikowski and pursued harpsichord studies with Prof. Urszula Bartkiewicz. He further refined his craft at the Postgraduate School of Song and Arts Internship under Prof. Maja Nosowska and Jan Stanienda at the Chopin University of Music in Warsaw (2011/12). In 2013, Wezner earned a Doctor of Musical Arts degree, followed by habilitation in 2019. In 2020, he was appointed Professor at the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz, where he also serves as the head of the Piano Chamber Music Department. That same year, he was named Editor of Phonographic Publications at AMFN SAGITTARIA in Bydgoszcz. He was elected Dean of the Faculty of Instrumental Music at the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music (FNAM) for the 2024-2028 term. Since 2018, Wezner has been the Artistic Director of the “Music at Blumwe Villa” Festival.

His performance aesthetic has been shaped by master classes with renowned artists such as Maestro Janoš Starker, Stephen Kovacevich, Raphaël Pidoux (Wanderer Trio), Gregor Sigl (Artemis Quartet), Jean Paul Trio, Niklas Schmidt (Trio Fontenay), Clive Brown, Ewa Podles, Urszula Kryger, Kevin Kenner, Maja Nosowska, and Marcin Sikorski. He has collaborated with a number of outstanding musicians, including Vadim Brodski, Paweł Zalejski, Maria Machowska, Joanna Kreft, Agata Schmidt, Ingrida Gápova, Ewa Leszczyńska, Jakub Jakowicz, Artur Rozmysłowicz, Magdalena Bojanowicz. He is also the pianist and co-founder of several notable ensembles: the BMF Piano Trio, Herbert Piano Trio, and Surrealistic Five. Additionally, he performs with his family in the unique Wezner Ensemble, a quartet formed with his father and siblings. Wezner’s performances have taken him to stages across Poland, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Sweden, Greece, Germany, Serbia and Montenegro, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Italy, and the United States. As a soloist, he has performed with distinguished orchestras such as Capella Bydgostiensis, the Toruń Symphony Orchestra, the Philharmonic Orchestra of Opole, the Academy Lviv Chamber Orchestra, and the Philharmonic Orchestra of Bydgoszcz. 

He served as a pianist-tutor at Teresa Żylis-Gara’s Master Vocal Course at the Radziejowice Palace (2008) and at the Young Singers of Lesser Poland workshop with Prof.  Helena Łazarska and Zofia Kilanowicz in Nowy Sącz (2012). He also participated in the Thomas Hampson Master Class at the Gorzów Philharmonic (2014) and was an official pianist at the 14th, 15th, 16th, and 18th International Ada Sari Vocal Artistry Competitions in Nowy Sącz (2011, 2013, 2015, 2019). Additionally, he has served as an official pianist for the 9th International Stanisław Moniuszko Vocal Competition in Warsaw (2016), the International Karol Szymanowski Violin Competition in Katowice (2018) and the International Karol Lipiński Violin Competition in Toruń (2019). 

Wezner has been recognized with numerous scholarships, including from the Piano Texas Festival and Academy in Fort Worth (2006, USA), the International Dartington Summer School (2012, UK), and the Beethoven Haus in Bonn (2015, Germany). He has also received scholarships from the Mayor of Bydgoszcz (2011, 2012), the Marshal of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship (2011, 2012, 2017, 2020), and the Minister of Culture and National Heritage, including the prestigious Young Poland scholarship (2012) and a Creative Scholarship (2021). His achievements have been further recognized with the Award of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship Marshal in the Culture category (2022) and the Artistic Award of the Mayor of Bydgoszcz (2023). 

Wezner is highly proficient in the classical repertoire as well as in 20th and 21st-century music. He has premiered and recorded numerous compositions by prominent composers such as Hanna Kulenta, Zbigniew Bargielski, Roxanna Panufnik, Marcin Masecki, Michał Dobrzyński, Zygmunt Mycielski. His performances have been broadcast by Polish Radio “Dwójka” and RTS Suiss, among others. His recordings are available on prestigious labels, including CdAccord, Dux, Sagittaria, and Acte Préalable.
