The 6th edition of International Karol Lipiński Violin Competition, organized by the Toruń Symphony Orchestra will take place on September 27th-October 6th in Toruń, Poland. The jury will be chaired by prof. Daniel Stabrawa, a renowned violinist and conductor who filled the role of Berliner Philharmoniker (Berlin Philharmonic)‘s concertmaster for 35 years.
24 contestants from around the globe participated in the previous edition of the competition. Its laureates, namely Elias David Moncado (1st place, Germany), Robert Łaguniak (2nd place, Poland), and Yumiko Yumiba (3rd place, Japan) achieve numerous successes and win prizes in many prestigious international competitions.
PRIZES
This year, the prize pool is as follows:
1st place – 15.000 EUR
2nd place – 10.000 EUR
3rd place – 6.000 EUR
3x distinction prize – 2.000 EUR
The prizes will also include non-statutory ones.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
Violinists of any nationality, born between 1989-2005. The submission deadline is June 3rd, 2024.
