Sojeong Kim / South Korea

Sojeong Kim has garnered numerous accolades throughout her career, including first prize at the Osaka International Competition and the Stony Brook Concerto Competition. She has also been recognized with an award from South Korea’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. 

In 2018, Kim performed at the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games in Pyeongchang, showcasing her exceptional talent on an international stage. As a soloist, Kim has graced renowned venues such as the Staller Center in the United States, the Hyogo Performing Arts Center in Japan, and the Mapo Arts Center, Alpensia Concert Hall, SCC Hall, and Kukje Art Hall in Korea.

Her chamber music endeavours include performing with the award-winning Hesper Quartet and as a member of the SunJung Trio.

Kim has served as concertmistress at Stony Brook University, the Seoul National University Philharmonic, and the Seoul National String Ensemble.

She is a recipient of a scholarship from the Sungjung Foundation, supporting her continued excellence in music. Kim earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Seoul National University and is currently pursuing doctoral studies in musical arts.
