Maya Levy / Belgium

Born into a French-Belgian family, Maya Levy began playing the violin at the age of four. Over the years, she has participated in master classes with prominent pedagogues, honing her craft to exceptional levels. 

Her talent has been recognized with numerous prestigious awards, including First Prize at the 2020 Médias Francophones Publics, a silver medal at the Manhattan International Music Competition, and the Supernova Prize at the Klara Festival. Levy was a finalist in the 2018 Karol Szymanowski International Violin Competition and the 2019 Karol Lipiński International Violin Competition, where she received the Beethoven Prize for the best interpretation of a sonata.

She has been named a ‘Rising Star’ by BBC Music Magazine and ‘Artist of the Year 2022’ by RTBF magazine.

Throughout her career, Levy has collaborated with renowned conductors and orchestras, including the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra, Podlaska Opera and Philharmonic Orchestra, Szczecińska Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra, Julia Carbonell Symphony Orchestra, Royal Chamber Orchestra of Wallonia, Toruń Symphony Orchestra, and Mitteldeutsche Kammerphilharmonie.

An accomplished chamber musician, Levy formed a duo with pianist Matthieu Idmtal for seven years and was a member of the Carlo Van Neste Trio for ten years. She performs on a 1702 Guarneri violin, continuing to captivate audiences with her artistry and technical brilliance.
