Leon Blekh / Netherlands

Leon Blekh began playing the violin at the age of six under his father's tutelage. He continued his studies at the Royal Conservatory in Antwerp with Alissa Margulis and Tatiana Samouil.

Throughout his career, Blekh has participated in many prestigious festivals, including Verbier and Gstaad, and has performed at renowned venues such as the Concertgebouw and La Monnaie. Blekh has been recognized in numerous competitions and has performed with esteemed orchestras such as the Residentie Orkest and Hofer Symfoniker.

Since 2019, he has been an artist-in-residence at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel, studying under Augustin Dumay. In 2023, Blekh became a finalist at the International Violin Competition Henri Marteau. In 2024, he won second prize and the audience prize at the Windsor Festival International String Competition.

He currently plays a 1793 Joseph Gagliano violin, generously provided by an anonymous sponsor.
