Tianren Xie /China

Tianren Xie earned his master’s degree with a specialization in chamber music from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse in Lyon, studying under distinguished violinists such as Marianne Piketty, Marc Danel, Laurence Ketels, Manuel Solans, and Jennifer Gilbert. He also trained at the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing, earning a bachelor’s degree under the mentorship of China's highly regarded violinist Chaoyang Lin.

Xie’s talent has been recognized in several prestigious competitions. In 2014, he won two special awards at the 33rd Rodolfo Lipizer International Violin Competition. In 2017, he was awarded First Prize at the 5th Marie Cantagrill International Violin Competition.

He founded the Trio des Lumières in 2018, and in November 2019, he and the Arlequin Quartet, which he co-founded, won third prize at the Arthur Rubinstein International Chamber Music Competition. In 2021, Xie was invited to participate in master classes by Pavel Vernikov and Gerhard Schulz at the Kronberg Academy in Germany. In August of the same year, he and the Arlequin Quartet performed at the Beethoven Festival in Bonn.
