Mio Sasaki was born in 1997 in Japan. She studied in the class of Yoshio Unno. Since then, she has been a laureate of many national and international competitions such as Fukuyama Music Competition, Toyonaka Music Competition and International Agustin Aponte Music Competition. In 2013 she received an Cultural Honour from her hometown, Hirakata. She attended the master classes of Nicolas Chumachenco, Christian Altenburger and Tanja Becker-Bender. In 2018 she won the first prize at the internal competition of the International Mendelssohn Summer Academy and she played as a soloist with Hamburger Symphoniker. In February 2019 she had a debut recital offered by the Hamburger Konservatorium. She is currently studying with Christoph Schickedanz at Hamburger Konservatorium.
