BASTIAN GABRIEL YAÑEZ LOEWE (*1991, CHILE/ GERMANY)
Bastian Loewe finished his Bachelor’s at the prestigious Hochschule für Musik ‘Hanns Eisler’ in Berlin, under the guidance of prof. Eva Christina Schönweiss. Most recently he has graduated with honors as a Master in Solo Performance at the Hochschule für Musik Basel, studying in Prof. Barbara Doll´s class
He has performed as a soloist with such orchestras as: Orquesta Sinfónica de Chile, Chilean Chamber Orchestra, Camerata Uandes, Sinfonieorchester Basel and the Kammerorchester Basel. As an active chamber musician, he has participated in festivals in Switzerland, Canada, Germany, Austria and Chile. In the XLII edition of the International Music Competition ‘Dr Luis Sigall’ in Viña del Mar, Chile, he won the third prize, the Audience Award, and the prize for the best interpretation of a Chilean Compulsory work. During his studies, he has been profoundly influenced by some renowned musicians such us: Stefan Picard, Mariana Sirbu, Friedeman Weigle, Silvia Simionescu, Winnfried von Rademacher, Stefan Fehlandt, Kurt Sassmanshaus.
