Daria Tarasova

DARIA TARASOVA  (*1994, UKRAINE)

Born on 17 July 1994 in Kerch, Crimea, Ukraine, Daria Tarasova graduated from Poltava Music College n.a. M. V. Lysenko. In 2012 she was awarded the First Prize at the All-Ukrainian Competition named after B. A. Kotorovych, 1st prize at the open competition for young performers at the “Kharkiv Assembly” Youth Festival. In 2013 she was admitted to the National Music Academy of Ukraine named after  P. I. Tchaikovsky, Department of Violin, to the class of Myroslava Kotorovych. She is a member of the chamber ensemble ‘Artehatta’ under the direction of M.B Kotorovych. In 2016 she received the 2nd prize at the International Competition named after Stankovich in the ‘Playing with the Orchestra’ category. She has attended master classes by Andrej Bielow and  Ivry Gitlis. In 2017 she received a Diploma at the Lviv All-Ukrainian Open Competition of Violinists, as well as the Diploma of graduation ‘Bachelor’s degree’ of the National Music Academy of Ukraine named after. P. I. Tchaikovsky, in the class of M. B. Kotorovych. In 2018 she was awarded a special prize from the Ukrainian Radio for the best performance of a work by an Ukrainian composer at the All-Ukrainian Competition named after B.A. Kotorovych.
